Somatic Work
What is Somatic Work?
Somatic work focuses on how the body holds and releases stress. Through gentle awareness, movement, and sensation tracking, clients can complete stuck responses and return to balance. This process builds a deeper sense of safety within the self and confidence in your ability to return to regulation time and again. Sessions are collaborative, paced with consent, and grounded in curiosity.
Gina's Approach to Somatic Work
Gina is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), having completed her formal three-year training with Somatic Experiencing International. Her practice is rooted in the belief that the body has a natural ability to heal and self-regulate.
Her somatic approach is further enriched by specialized training in:
-
Somatic Consent
-
Systemic Trauma and Shame from a Somatic Perspective
-
Integrative Gender & Sexuality from a Somatic Perspective
-
Compassionate Inquiry with Dr. Gabor Mate
This combination allows Gina to create a trauma-sensitive, compassionate, and consent-based space, helping clients gently reconnect with their bodies' innate wisdom.
