Communication Skills

Communication Skills

Do people not listen to you no matter how loud you are? Or maybe you frequently find yourself giving in to others and feel taken advantage of? The way that we communicate our wants and needs can greatly affect all of our relationships, whether they are romantic, familial, professional, or otherwise. Add to that our high-tech, high-speed, high-demand society and the fact that much of our non-verbal communication gets lost in translation when we shift to digital means of communicating, and it is easy to see why so many people feel unheard.

We can work together to help you communicate more effectively through the areas of your life.

Relevant experience

I have facilitated a variety of groups on communication skills as well as doing work on this topic during one on one sessions. I have also had to effectively use my own communication skills when managing crisis and while participating on a variety of boards and committees.

"The two words 'information' and 'communication' are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different things. Information is giving out; communication is getting through."
